Welcome to the Earthbeat centre. The Building is a former primary school and before that it served as a girls grammar school.

 

   The new centre is now the permanent home of the Earthbeat Theatre Company but it is also a thriving community hub. As well as providing space for a number of tenants the building also offers a dynamic and interesting range of evening and daytime classes.

 

   Earthbeat has been granted a 50 year lease on the school – we’re going to be here for a very long time – and we would very much like to share the building and its resources with local people.

 

   The centre formally opened its doors on Saturday 7th February 2015 and over 1200 people passed through our doors. We took this as a good sign.
